Some Photoshop collages done on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It’s a bit too warm in the study; I’m listening to Suze Orman podcasts and poring over the endlessly fascinating Library of Congress photostream over at flickr.

Thank you (thank you)
I had a birthday, guys! I’m 30 now, which means I’m officially an adult, which means that it’s perfectly acceptable for me to make thank you cards of kitties with kitty tails. I’m pretty sure this is a nice kitty with an evil kitty tail, but cats are so weird that you can’t really tell who is who. So I had a birthday, and this is the thank you card I made for people who were nice enough to remember me on my very special day.
I did this in pencil on paper, then I traced it in Illustrator and I colored it and added texture in Photoshop. The typeface is Le Havre Rounded.

MOOOONSTERS!
Gabe & I have been listening to the amazing Mike & Tom Eat Snacks every week. It’s a great podcast to doodle along to. I did some monster doodles while we were listening a couple weeks ago. Here are some things I made from those doodles:
As always, I tried to keep the colors neutral, the graphics soft and restrained, and the overall tone as refined as possible.
Drawings done with ink on paper. Color and texture added in Photoshop. Some additional graphics and patterns made in Illustrator.

Sunday Morning Pattern Remix
Sunday morning: laundry, Comedy Death Ray radio, Frosted Mini-Wheats (blueberry muffin flavor), tea, and PATTERN REMIX.
All done in Photoshop, using art from the awesome Clipart ETC and Briar Press.
